Jitsu comes to the cage accompanied by Nikkfurie- The a la Menthe. Rasputin has chosen TURISAS - Rasputin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jiu Jitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rasputin as he jumps to the side.
Rasputin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jitsu misses with a series of wild punches.
Rasputin fails with a takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Jitsu.
Jitsu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rasputin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jitsu did well to prevent Rasputin getting side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rasputin tries to stand and escape but Jitsu is controlling the position.

Rasputin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Rasputin is trying to work for a kimura but Jitsu is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rasputin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jitsu has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jitsu gets full guard.
Rasputin trying to control but Jitsu is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rasputin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Rasputin content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Jitsu has locked up a guillotine! Jitsu's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rasputin is holding on here and Jitsu must be using up a lot of energy. Rasputin has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jitsu gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jiu Jitsu!
An out of breath Jiu Jitsu thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
