Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Drew Pashik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Pony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drew Pashik could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to David Pony's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drew Pashik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Pony!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pony tries to close the distance and clinch but Pashik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pashik throws a leg kick but Pony moved away.
Pony checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Pony tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pashik manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pony darts in and clinches Pashik up against the cage.
Pashik is trying to force a seperation but Pony has the dominant position.

Pony is trying to drag Pashik to the mat but Pashik just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Pashik throws a leg kick but Pony sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Pony lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Pashik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pony dips to his left and cracks Pashik with an uppercut!
Pashik throws a right and a left that Pony avoids nicely.

Pashik tries to bum rush Pony with a series of wild strikes but Pony uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pashik is breathing heavily.
Pashik fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pony has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Pashik takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pashik throws a series of punches but Pony avoids them all with ease.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pashik lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Pony has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Pony and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Pony doesn't manage to clinch there - Pashik circles away.
Pashik throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pony connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Pony throws a leg kick which misses Pashik's front leg but catches the back leg as Pashik tries to avoid it.
Pony connects with a body shot.
Pony tests Pashik's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pony thumps Pashik with a low kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pony is defended easily by Pashik.

and Pony counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pony.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pony scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pashik doesn't seem bothered though.
Pashik on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pony slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pony is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

David Pony showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Pony shoots in but no luck this time.
Pashik is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Pony moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Pony!
