PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kip Slizer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdeno Chara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slizer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Reckless and The Brave. Zdeno Chara will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slizer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Slizer uses his free foot to push down on Chara's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chara.
Slizer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Slizer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chara for as long as he can get away with.

Slizer has hold of Chara's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chara manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
