The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwalle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Schwalle throws a left and a right that both miss
and Edgar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Schwalle avoids the body shot from Edgar.
Schwalle throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Edgar counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Schwalle rushes Edgar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Schwalle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Schwalle lands with a short shot to the head.
Schwalle lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Schwalle misses with a hook from the clinch.

Edgar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Schwalle fails to land with a series of punches.
Schwalle throws a combination that misses
letting Edgar counter with a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schwalle lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Schwalle on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oliver Schwalle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edgar misses with a hook.

The fighters circle momentarily. Edgar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Oh Schwalle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schwalle is breathing heavily.
Edgar lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Schwalle up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Edgar from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Schwalle's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
