And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oath tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oath pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Khan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Ken Oath has been cut.
Khan misses with a hook

and Oath counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Oath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Oath trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom.
Khan has control of Oath's left arm, preventing Oath from doing any damage.

Ken Oath overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Oath creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Oath has him pressed against the cage.

Genghis Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Oath.
Oath scoring well with a low kick there.
Oath shoots in looking for a takedown. Khan tries to sprawl out of it but Oath keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Khan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Oath checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Oath fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khan.
