The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Tupolski scores with a one two! Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tupolski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
Tupolski circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tupolski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tupolski connects with a single shot there.
Tupolski jabs at Silva's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva moves forwards but Tupolski connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Katurian Tupolski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva misses with a takedown
and Tupolski counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Tupolski shows good takedown defense.
Katurian Tupolski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Silva.

Tupolski clinches.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tupolski pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tupolski fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

Tupolski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tupolski swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Silva.
Tupolski scores with a one two! Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Tupolski misses with a double jab.
Tupolski takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Tupolski fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Tupolski shows good takedown defense.
Tupolski uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and Tupolski counters with a stiff right hand.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Tupolski finish him?
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tupolski tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tupolski to the ground. Tupolski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva looks winded!

Tupolski lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Silva out cold! Silva is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
