Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jerome McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Boy Bernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCool will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McCool closes the distance and clinches up with Bernie, looking for a takedown. McCool pushes Bernie against the cage but Bernie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McCool tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bernie swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerome McCool. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Bernie as McCool shoots in.
Bernie wants to clinch.
Jerome McCool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCool shoots for a takedown but Bernie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bernie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McCool. That did some damage!

McCool wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bernie, who protects the arm well.

McCool is thwarting Bernie's attempts to control the position.

McCool wants to pass the guard but Bernie is keeping the position.

Bernie is looking for a triangle but McCool pushes his legs off easily.
Bernie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCool gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McCool might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McCool slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bernie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McCool controls the pace.
Bernie looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McCool is defending well. Bernie quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McCool has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Bernie celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
