Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Renan Cavallo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Zerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Zerra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Zerra!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavallo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cavallo throws the left hand but Zerra avoids the punch easily.

Zerra closes the distance and pushes Cavallo back into the cage.
Zerra lands a hook that snaps the head of Cavallo backwards.

Zerra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cavallo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zerra finds it's way round the side to connect with Cavallo's head.
Cavallo scores with the left hand. Zerra knows he should have avoided that one.
Matt Zerra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cavallo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Zerra is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cavallo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Cavallo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cavallo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Zerra is looking to regain half guard here but Cavallo keeps moving and retains side control.
Zerra takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Cavallo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Cavallo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zerra is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cavallo is controlling him well.

Cavallo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zerra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cavallo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zerra is pushing down on Cavallo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cavallo is fighting to maintain full guard but Zerra has managed to sneak the leg through.
It looks like Zerra is going to stand back up.
Zerra wants to free his trapped foot but Cavallo is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Cavallo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cavallo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cavallo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Zerra doesn't seem bothered though.

Cavallo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zerra but Zerra pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cavallo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cavallo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cavallo has hold of Zerra's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Zerra manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Cavallo! Zerra is hurt baaadly! Cavallo is firing away with more strikes - Zerra is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
