Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erik Bones Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Game. Erik Bones Hall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Patrick Cote's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erik Bones Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Cote!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Horrible takedown by Hall or perhaps it was just good defense by Cote which made him look bad.

Cote looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cote advances position into side control!
Cote is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cote stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Hall moves into the clinch.
Cote is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Hall is looking to take this one to the mat.

Hall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cote pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Bones Hall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hall is trying to push Cote away but Cote has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Cote has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hall uses from the top position.
Cote keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully.
Cote is pulling down on Hall's head to control his posture.
Hall won't allow Cote to get back to his feet.
Hall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cote on the ground.

Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Cote is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Erik Bones Hall has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hall slaps away a takedown attempt from Cote, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hall scores with a nice strike.

Cote closes the distance and clinches up with Hall, looking for a takedown. Cote pushes Hall against the cage but Hall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hall wants to clinch.
Cote tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hall swivels and escapes.

Hall instigates a clinch.

Hall successfully pulls guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cote is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.
Cote working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hall's head.
Cote missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cote working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hall is breathing heavily.
Cote is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.

Cote slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Cote trying to control the position but Hall is working away.
Hall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hall tries to get out of the position.
Cote misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Cote is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Cote stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Cote shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hall is trying to defend but Cote finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cote connects with a nice short shot to Hall's temple.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cote decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Cote misses with a takedown attempt - Hall sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cote wants to clinch.
Cote dives in and grabs Hall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hall pushes down on Cote's head and hops out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cote is looking to clinch.
Hall fails to land the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cote.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Patrick Cote dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Cote looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cote manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hall rushes Cote and presses him up against the cage.

Cote ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cote no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Cote trying to keep a closed guard but Hall is proving a slippery customer.
Cote has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cote lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hall!

Cote lands with some strikes.

Cote wants to finish this one by submission but Hall is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cote.
Hall is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cote looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Cote breaks from Hall's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hall really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cote tries to control but Hall wriggling away.
Cote cracks Hall with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cote cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Hall is rocked!

Cote working for a submission but Hall is keeping him at bay.
Oh Hall is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cote working the ground and pound effectively.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cote with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hall seems to have got his legs back now.
Cote connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Cote tries to control but Hall wriggling away.
Cote with a couple of short strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall tries to reverse the position but Cote maintains control.
Cote is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Hall goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Cote!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Patrick Cote!
Patrick Cote took some time post fight to say the following; 'That bitch can eat my ass!'.
