The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunes swats away the attempt to clinch by Alves Dutra.

Nunes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Alves Dutra's guard.

Nunes stands up and waves to Alves Dutra to follow him.

Nunes tightens his grip and picks Alves Dutra up, before dumping him to the ground. Alves Dutra manages to land in guard.

Nunes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Alves Dutra's head.
Nunes wants to pass the guard but Alves Dutra is keeping the position.

Nunes gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Nunes has a takedown stuffed.
Alves Dutra fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Claudio Alves Dutra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alves Dutra shoots for a takedown but Nunes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alves Dutra finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Nunes's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Alves Dutra falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
