Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Salomao Trindade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Indrid Cold!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cold checks a leg kick.

Cold bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cold cracks Trindade with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Trindade wants to control but Cold postures up.

Trindade tries to bench press Cold off him but Cold keeps the position.

Cold is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Trindade knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cold stands up and beckons Trindade to his feet.

Cold pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Cold shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Trindade wants to improve his position but Cold is controlling well.

Cold decides to stand up.
Salomao Trindade is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trindade takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Trindade goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Cold rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trindade moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cold misses with a low kick.
Trindade attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Cold wants to control from the top but Trindade keeps moving.

Cold is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Cold slips a nice elbow through Trindade's hands, connecting with Trindade's forehead.
Trindade is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cold scores with a couple of nice shots.

Cold is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trindade is just riding it out for now. Cold eventually gives up the hold.
Cold controlling the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cold is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Indrid Cold dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cold fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Trindade sprawls well initially but Cold persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cold changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trindade looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Trindade is looking to regain half guard here but Cold keeps moving and retains side control.

Cold wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Trindade, who protects the arm well.

It looks like Salomao Trindade has been cut.
Cold lands a big knee! That's hurt Trindade! Oh, he's all over the place! Cold lands another knee that sends Trindade to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
