Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cerventes Bison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Hearst Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bison comes to the cage accompanied by The Beast by Tech N9ne. Hogan has chosen The Game as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cerventes Bison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Hearst Hogan!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A head kick misses from Bison.
An inside leg kick from Hogan misses.
Bison throws a head kick but Hogan moves out of range.
Hogan throws a leg kick which misses Bison's front leg but catches the back leg as Bison tries to avoid it.
Bison scores with a nice head shot.

Hogan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bison is trying to defend but Hogan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bison tries to roll over but Hogan keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Hogan seems content to control.
Hogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bison's head.

Hogan wants to work for an arm triangle but Bison is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bison is doing well to control the position and prevent Hogan from advancing to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogan is keen to just control but Bison is a slippery customer.
Hogan landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hogan winds up and cracks Bison with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bison blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hogan.
Hogan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hogan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hogan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
It looks like Hogan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Bison wants to get back to full guard.
Bison trying to control but Hogan postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hogan not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bison trying to hold on to Hogan's head to control him but Hogan postures up.
Hogan prevents Bison from standing back up.
Bison is trying to maintain the position but Hogan is very close to passing his half guard.
Bison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Cerventes Bison just wasn't active enough.
Bison slips under a jab.
Bison chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Cerventes Bison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bison uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hogan.
Bison fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hogan.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bison blocks a jab.
Bison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hogan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bison.
Hogan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hogan catches Bison with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A slapping leg kick lands for Hogan.
Hogan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bison. That one must have hurt.
Hogan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bison sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hogan somewhat.
Hogan throws a hook but Bison blocks it.
Bison blocks a jab.
Bison throws out a leg kick but Hogan moves out of range and Bison only half commits.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jab from Hogan.
Hogan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bison in his tracks.
Hogan throws a jab when Bison was well out of range.
Hogan misses the jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hogan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hogan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bison slips under a jab from Hogan.
Hogan thows a leg kick but Bison checks it
and Bison counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bison.
A clash of legs there as Bison blocks the low kick.
Bison jabs Hogan right on the nose. Hogan blinks but takes it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bison keeps Hogan at a distance using the push kick.
Bison connects with a single shot there.
Bison checks a low kick from Hogan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hunter Hearst Hogan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hogan avoids the body shot from Bison.
Bison misses with a low kick.
Hogan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bison.
Hogan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bison is looking to land body kicks.
Hogan throws an off balance right hand

and Bison holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bison throws a knee to the head but misses.
Hogan missing with knees to the body.
Bison goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bison has a couple of punches blocked by Hogan.
Hogan blocks an uppercut.
Hogan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Bison misses with a knee strike.
Hogan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bison walks away with a smile on his face. Hogan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A head kick by Bison misses
and Hogan counters with a low kick, right behind Bison 's knee.
Cerventes Bison is winning the standup battle so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bison tries to close the distance and clinch but Hogan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bison throws a leg kick which misses Hogan's front leg but catches the back leg as Hogan tries to avoid it.
Hogan connects with a solid leg kick.
Bison throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hogan.
Bison throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hogan on the side of the head.
Bison moves away from the strike by Hogan.
Bison stuffs the takedown.
Bison looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bison throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hogan feints and then cracks Bison's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bison down.
A left lands for Hogan.
Bison fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hogan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bison moves into range and clinches up with Hogan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bison scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Hogan has Bison pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bison manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Cerventes Bison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hunter Hearst Hogan.
Bison scores with a knee to the head.
Bison misses with a knee to the head.
Hogan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hogan.
Hogan unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Bison misses with the head strike.
Bison lands with a left to the head.
Bison with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bison misses with a short punch on the inside.
Hogan goes for a takedown attempt but Bison pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hogan lands a really nice looking cross but Bison seems unphased.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hogan.
Bison lands a nice hook to Hogan's body. Hogan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hogan throws a head kick but Bison moves out of range.
Bison's corner calls for a 1-2. Bison obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hogan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bison pinned against the cage. Bison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hogan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hogan shoots in but no luck this time.
Hogan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bison.
Hogan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bison gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Hogan counters with a stiff right hand.
Bison stuffs the takedown.
Bison tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hogan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bison slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cerventes Bison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bison chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hogan can pounce on him.

Hogan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bison defends it nicely.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cerventes Bison will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Bison looks to land a body kick but Hogan moved away.
Bison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bison tries to clinch up but Hogan circles away and keeps his distance.
Bison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hogan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hogan with a nice cross.
Hogan throws a jab when Bison was well out of range.
Bison lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hogan at a distance.
Bison feints and then cracks Hogan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hogan down.
Hogan shoots in but no luck this time.
A good leg kick by Hogan.
Bison ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hogan looking to score a takedown here. Bison is defending well but Hogan drives through and ends up in Bison's guard.

Bison is looking for a triangle but Hogan pushes his legs off easily.
Hogan postures up in Bison's guard and throws a big left but Bison blocks it.
Bison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hogan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hogan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hogan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bison keeping moving, preventing Hogan from controlling successfully.
Hogan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hogan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hogan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hogan is looking to work some ground and pound but Bison has wrist control.
Bison avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Bison keeping moving, preventing Hogan from controlling successfully.
Bison tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bison working a defensive guard here.
Hogan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bison looking for a sweep. Not yet Bison, not yet.
Hogan trying to control the position from guard on top but Bison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bison seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Cerventes Bison has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bison tries to clinch up.

Bison throws a body kick that misses.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bison.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hogan.

Hogan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hunter Hearst Hogan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hogan is thwarting Bison's attempts to control the position.

Hogan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bison doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hogan.
Hogan slips a nice elbow through Bison's hands, connecting with Bison's forehead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bison is looking to escape.
Hogan sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bison defending well though.
Hogan wants to pass to mount but Bison is defending the position.
Bison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hogan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hogan is trying to control the action in half guard but Bison is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bison tries to get to full guard but Hogan has control of the leg.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hunter Hearst Hogan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hogan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

An intense looking Hunter Hearst Hogan took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'I know I will be crowned legend in this org someday. But now, I do not want to be called a gatekeeper or a stepping stone, something like that. Now, I will be going back to contender status, and I want to face a top 10 opponent. Faber, I have a respect for this kid. He will be a contender someday.'.
