Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexndr Wennberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wladamir Sholvansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexndr Wennberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wladamir Sholvansky!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sholvansky throws a head kick but Wennberg moves out of range.
Sholvansky lands with an overhand left.
Sholvansky has a takedown stuffed.
Wennberg slips a jab and a cross from Sholvansky.
Sholvansky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sholvansky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wennberg manages to avoid it.
Wennberg dodges the punch combination from Sholvansky.
Wennberg avoids the head kick by Sholvansky.
Wennberg takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Sholvansky scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sholvansky misses with a combination
and Wennberg counters with a left and a right that stings Sholvansky.

Sholvansky throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wennberg's waist but Wennberg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sholvansky off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sholvansky is defended easily by Wennberg.

Sholvansky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wennberg is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sholvansky is working for takedown but Wennberg is calmly controlling the position for now.

Sholvansky has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wennberg uses from the top position.

Wennberg has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sholvansky is working away from the top position though.

Sholvansky is looking to take a break and control but Wennberg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sholvansky shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wennberg pinned against the cage. Wennberg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sholvansky connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wennberg. Wennberg circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Sholvansky throws a chopping leg kick but Wennberg manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Wennberg tries to close the distance and clinch but Sholvansky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sholvansky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wennberg slaps away a takedown attempt from Sholvansky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sholvansky lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sholvansky.

Sholvansky's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wennberg connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sholvansky scrambles back to his feet.
Sholvansky fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Wennberg checks it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sholvansky throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wennberg cracks a nice hook into Sholvansky's ribs.

Wladamir Sholvansky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sholvansky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
