Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez has chosen KVelasquez Theme as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Velasquez!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan slaps away a takedown attempt from Velasquez, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kevin Velasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velasquez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Brennan has Velasquez up against the cage in a clinch.
Velasquez goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Brennan wants a takedown but no success here.

Velasquez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Velasquez is working Brennan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Brennan has his foot on Velasquez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Velasquez works his way back into a safe position though.
Brennan wants to stand and escape but Velasquez is having none of it.

Velasquez shoots for a takedown but Brennan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brennan shoots in looking for a takedown but Velasquez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brennan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brennan.

You can see the frustration on Brennan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Velasquez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Velasquez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
