Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Alexander Zalachenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keoni Kain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zalachenko comes to the ring accompanied by Torture Chamber. Alexander Zalachenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Zalachenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keoni Kain!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zalachenko doesn't manage to clinch there - Kain circles away.
Zalachenko lands with a right hand.
Keoni Kain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kain walks into a straight right hand from Zalachenko.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zalachenko slips a straight right by Kain.
Kain takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kain, as that shot connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kain thows a body shot but no joy.
Kain ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Kain clinches up against the ropes.
Kain is stalling here.
Kain is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Kain throws an elbow but misses.

Kain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kain clinches up with Zalachenko and pushes him back against the ropes.
Kain dodges an elbow strike from Zalachenko.
Kain stalling in the clinch but Zalachenko improves position.
Kain prevents a body shot from Zalachenko.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A short left from Kain.
Kain lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Kain breaks from the clinch.
Zalachenko looks to land a body kick but Kain moved away.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kain, as that shot connected.
Zalachenko tries a head kick but it misses.
Kain avoids the head kick by Zalachenko.
Zalachenko misses with a straight left.
Kain throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zalachenko fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Kain closes the distance and clinches.
Zalachenko tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kain is trying to force a seperation but Zalachenko has the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zalachenko misses with a knee strike.
Zalachenko throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kain takes a knee right on the jaw!
Kain pushes off an throws an elbow but Zalachenko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Kain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kain moves into range and clinches up with Zalachenko.
Zalachenko tries to land knees in the clinch but Kain avoids the damage to the body.
Kain is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Zalachenko is defending well for now.

Kain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kain will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Zalachenko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zalachenko fakes the leg kick and cracks Kain in the body.

Kain moves into the clinch.
Kain pushes Zalachenko back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Zalachenko manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zalachenko pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Kain lands with a left to the head.
Kain lands a hook that snaps the head of Zalachenko backwards.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Alexander Zalachenko was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
