Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike OMalley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryce ODonnell!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OMalley lands a body shot.
OMalley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
ODonnell stuffs the takedown attempt from OMalley. OMalley gets slowly back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from OMalley. Those never looked like landing.
OMalley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. ODonnell tries to avoid it but OMalley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag ODonnell to the ground. ODonnell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
ODonnell throws a nice head kick!
ODonnell bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of OMalley's head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
ODonnell keeps the fight on the outside.
ODonnell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from OMalley.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike OMalley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
ODonnell swings away with a body shot that misses
and OMalley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
OMalley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by ODonnell.
ODonnell scoring well with a low kick there.
ODonnell jabs OMalley to the body, keeping him at a distance.
ODonnell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

ODonnell slaps away a takedown attempt from OMalley, before circling back to the center of the mat.

OMalley avoids the body shot from ODonnell.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from ODonnell, right into the meat.
OMalley shoots in and drives through. ODonnell sprawls well.
OMalley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
ODonnell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
OMalley is breathing heavily.
OMalley closes this distance looking for a takedown but ODonnell circles away.
ODonnell moves into the clinch successfully.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, ODonnell creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
ODonnell misses with a hook to the ribs.
A left hand lands to the body for ODonnell.
OMalley jumps guard but ODonnell turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
ODonnell misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OMalley letting ODonnell take a breather here.
OMalley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. ODonnell smiles and moves away.
ODonnell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by OMalley.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from OMalley.
ODonnell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from OMalley.
ODonnell lands a left and a right that send OMalley crashing to the mat, dazed. ODonnell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
OMalley is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
OMalley circles away from the clinch attempt.
OMalley shoots in and drives through. ODonnell sprawls well.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for OMalley. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
ODonnell digs a good hook to OMalley's body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from ODonnell. OMalley shrugs it off though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryce ODonnell dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
ODonnell lands a hook that stumbles OMalley back into the ropes. ODonnell follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping OMalley to the canvas! ODonnell pounces and lands several unanswered shots - OMalley has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
