The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ben Asa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ben Asa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mundo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Mundo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Ben Asa throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mundo because Ben Asa loaded up on that one.

Ben Asa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mundo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That was a close round but I would say that Jehoshaphat Ben Asa will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mundo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ben Asa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mundo is taking a breather. Ben Asa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Doctor Mundo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
