PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juhani Jarvela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jarvela's choice of entrance music: Real American. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juhani Jarvela!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foreman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jarvela counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Foreman dives in for a single leg takedown but Jarvela sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jarvela is trying to push Foreman away but Foreman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Foreman successfully pulls guard.
Foreman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jarvela slips nicely into half guard.

Foreman pushes Jarvela off and gets back to his feet.

Jarvela tries to keep at a distance but Foreman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jarvela misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Foreman.

Foreman manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jarvela loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Foreman looking for a sweep. Not yet Foreman, not yet.
Foreman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Foreman is pulling down on Jarvela's head. It's preventing any offense from Jarvela, at least for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foreman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Foreman unloads with some shots from mount but Jarvela bucks and avoids them well.

Foreman stands up from mount. Strange move.
Foreman throws a head kick that misses.
Jarvela connects with a body shot.
Foreman shoots for a double leg takedown but Jarvela sprawls well. He's pushed Foreman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Foreman is breathing heavily.
No luck for Foreman with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Foreman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Foreman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jarvela connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Foreman scrambles back to his feet.
Juhani Jarvela is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Foreman doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jarvela scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jarvela lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Foreman falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
