Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nik Knytmare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nik Knytmare is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tim Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nik Knytmare!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knytmare throws a right and a left that Sullivan avoids nicely.
Knytmare lands a jab.
Knytmare shoots in looking for a takedown but Sullivan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knytmare's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Sullivan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Knytmare!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Knytmare manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Sullivan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Knytmare does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Knytmare is looking for a sweep. Sullivan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Knytmare is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Knytmare throws a right and a left that both miss.

Sullivan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Knytmare on his heels. He'll look to pass Knytmare's guard now, I'm sure.
Sullivan is stalling in the full guard.

Knytmare really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sullivan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Knytmare is trying to get back to full guard.

Knytmare wants to control but Sullivan is keeping busy.
Knytmare is pressing down on Sullivan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sullivan wants to get up but he can't break Knytmare's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Knytmare is trying to control the position but Sullivan postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sullivan chips away with some ground and pound.
Sullivan wants to control from the top but Knytmare keeps moving.

Knytmare is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Knytmare has an active guard here but Sullivan has managed to pass into half guard.

Sullivan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Knytmare doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sullivan.

Sullivan is trying to work for a kimura but Knytmare is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Sullivan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Knytmare looks to land a combination but Sullivan avoids it well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Knytmare has Sullivan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Knytmare pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sullivan tumbling to the mat - Knytmare dives into Sullivan's guard.

Sullivan has his foot on Knytmare's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Knytmare works his way back into a safe position though.

Knytmare drops back looking for a leg! Sullivan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sullivan manages to kick Knytmare off! Knytmare jumps back into Sullivan's guard.
Knytmare is working Sullivan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Knytmare wants to control from the top but Sullivan keeps moving.
Sullivan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Knytmare must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Knytmare postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nik Knytmare.
Knytmare shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sullivan eats them both and turns towards Knytmare to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Knytmare throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sullivan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Knytmare is in Sullivan's guard.

Knytmare shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Knytmare showed some decent athleticism there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Knytmare winds up and cracks Sullivan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Knytmare wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sullivan keeps working.
Knytmare slows the pace down in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knytmare is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nik Knytmare showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Left hook, right uppercut from Knytmare.
Knytmare lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Knytmare throws a series of punches but Sullivan avoids them all with ease.
Nik Knytmare seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Knytmare.
Sullivan can't do much from the bottom here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Knytmare stands up.
Knytmare moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Knytmare shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Knytmare showed some decent athleticism there.
Nice strikes from Knytmare there.

Knytmare seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Knytmare is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Sullivan is rocked!
Knytmare lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Oh Sullivan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Knytmare postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sullivan in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sullivan to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nik Knytmare!
An out of breath Nik Knytmare thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
