The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor fails to land the takedown.
McGregor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rostenkowski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McGregor somewhat.
McGregor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rostenkowski swivels and escapes.
Ryan Rostenkowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Malcom McGregor.
Nice straight punches there by Rostenkowski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rostenkowski.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rostenkowski.
McGregor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McGregor shoots in looking for a takedown. Rostenkowski tries to sprawl out of it but McGregor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rostenkowski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McGregor feints and as Rostenkowski raises his hands in defense, McGregor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!

McGregor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Rostenkowski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rostenkowski tries to get out of the position.

McGregor is trying to get an arm triangle but Rostenkowski is defending well.

McGregor is working to tighten is grip on Rostenkowski's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rostenkowski has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McGregor is really squeezing tight and eventually Rostenkowski passes out! McGregor breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
