Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Lind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Ovanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lind's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DJ Quicksilver - Ameno. Ovanov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fairytale. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Lind.
Jake Lind seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ovanov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ovanov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lind closes the distance and clinches up with Ovanov, looking for a takedown. Lind pushes Ovanov against the cage but Ovanov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Decent striking displayed by Lind there.
Lind throws the left hand but Ovanov avoids the punch easily.
Lind shoots in but Ovanov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lind misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Lind. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lind throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lind fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lind looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ovanov is fending him off so far but Lind persists. Nope, Ovanov circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lind.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ovanov.
Ovanov works to advance to full mount. Lind defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Ovanov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Lind has his takedown stuffed

so Ovanov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lind is breathing heavily.

Ovanov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ovanov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lind tries to clinch up

and Ovanov counters with a shoot takedown. Lind fights it but they end up in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ovanov stays in close to Lind's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Ovanov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ovanov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lind, up you get!
Ovanov lands a glancing blow to the side of Lind's head.

Ovanov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lind is looking for a sweep. Ovanov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ovanov moves nicely into side control.
Lind tries to bench press Ovanov off him but Ovanov keeps the position.

Ovanov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lind is trying to escape and Ovanov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lind is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ovanov! Very nice indeed!
