The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes drops his hands momentarily and Cruz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Cruz clinches up with Moraes and pushes him back against the cage.

Cruz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cruz lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Cruz lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Cruz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Cruz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moraes, pushing him back against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Cruz.
Still in the clinch, Cruz scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cruz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Moraes is rocked!
Cruz lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Moraes backwards.
Moraes is still on wobbly legs! Can Cruz finish him?

Cruz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cruz feints with a jab and clips Moraes right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Moraes is sent crashing into the canvas and Cruz leaps in for the kill! Moraes tries to get to his feet but Cruz is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Moraes is in need of a savior and steps in!
