Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredick Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredick Koch is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fredick Koch!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koch gets tackled into the cage by Malone. Malone maintains the clinch.
Koch looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Koch can't break the clinch.
Koch's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Koch tries to break the clinch but Malone is controlling the position.

Koch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Malone rushes Koch and presses him up against the cage.
Malone is trying to break free.

Malone gets control of Koch's arms and successfully pulls guard. Malone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Malone wants to stand and escape but Koch is having none of it.
Koch would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Malone will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Koch tries to bum rush Malone with a series of wild strikes but Malone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Malone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koch's waist but Koch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malone off to one side.

Malone closes the distance and clinches up with Koch, looking for a takedown. Malone pushes Koch against the cage but Koch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Koch in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Koch creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

I would just about give that final round to Fredick Koch.
Well Malone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
