Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benedikt Pushkar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Fuckin' In The Bushes as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Abel Khan enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Benedikt Pushkar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abel Khan!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pushkar fails with the takedown.
Pushkar misses with a takedown attempt
and Khan counters with a left to the body.
Khan thows a body shot but no joy.
Khan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Khan connects with a right hand. Pushkar shakes it off.
Khan stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benedikt Pushkar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pushkar connects with the punch.
Pushkar takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pushkar misses with an uppercut.
Khan takes one to the chin there.
Benedikt Pushkar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Khan lands with a good body shot.
Khan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pushkar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Pushkar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Benedikt Pushkar has been cut.
Abel Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Khan stuns Pushkar with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pushkar fails to land the takedown.
Khan looks to land a left hand but Pushkar moved out of range nicely.
Pushkar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pushkar shoots in for a double leg but Khan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Khan is trying to control Pushkar's posture but Pushkar avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Khan is positioning himself well to prevent Pushkar advancing to mount.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Khan is pressing down on Pushkar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Khan wants to stand and escape but Pushkar is having none of it.

Khan is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Pushkar tries for a takedown but Khan manages to get underhooks.

Khan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Khan throws a hook to the side of Pushkar's head but Pushkar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pushkar lands a right hook to the body.

Khan stuffs the takedown attempt from Pushkar. Pushkar gets slowly back to his feet.
Khan is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Pushkar rather than just go for the knockout.
Khan throws a sloppy head kick and Pushkar moves out of range easily.
Nice sprawl there from Khan as Pushkar shoots in.
Khan missing with a left hand there. Pushkar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pushkar takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Pushkar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khan is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Abel Khan.
Pushkar has a takedown stuffed.
Nice takedown defense from Khan. No joy for Pushkar on that attempt.
Pushkar shoots in for a takedown but Khan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Khan lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pushkar will feel that in the morning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pushkar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Khan is fending him off so far but Pushkar persists. Nope, Khan circles away and we're back to standing.
Pushkar takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Pushkar is breathing heavily.
Khan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pushkar lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Khan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Khan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Khan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pushkar.
Pushkar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Khan throws a quick inside leg kick.
Pushkar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Khan pinned against the cage. Khan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A cross from Khan lands.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Khan enables Pushkar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Khan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Khan controls Pushkar momentarily but Pushkar frees himself.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Abel Khan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Pushkar shoots in looking for a takedown. Khan tries to sprawl out of it but Pushkar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Khan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Khan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pushkar.

Khan trying to keep a closed guard but Pushkar is proving a slippery customer.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Khan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Pushkar manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Pushkar, under a barage of strikes from Khan.

Khan decides to stand back up. Khan steps back and let's Pushkar get back to his feet.
Khan scores with a jab to the head.
Khan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Khan looks to land a right hand but Pushkar moved out of range.
Pushkar misses with a combination
and Khan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pushkar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Khan sprawls well. Khan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pushkar gets slowly back to his feet.
A combination from Pushkar does no damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pushkar takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Khan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Khan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pushkar throws a jab when Khan was well out of range.
Pushkar is looking to score with low kicks.
Khan throws a push kick but Pushkar slaps the foot to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Khan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pushkar.
Pushkar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abel Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Khan loads up on a big right hand but Pushkar slips the punch.
Khan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pushkar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pushkar slips under a jab from Khan.
A looping hook to the body misses from Khan. Pushkar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pushkar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Khan pinned against the cage. Khan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Pushkar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benedikt Pushkar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khan throws a head kick that misses.
Pushkar cracks Khan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Khan.
Khan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Horrible takedown by Pushkar or perhaps it was just good defense by Khan which made him look bad.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pushkar is defended easily by Khan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pushkar fails with the takedown.
Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pushkar throws a right hand that misses
and Khan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Khan lands a big right hand that sends Pushkar crashing to the mat! Khan stays standing though and waves Pushkar back to his feet!


Pushkar is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pushkar drops his hands for a split second and Khan immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Pushkar face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Khan follows up with a right hand that knocks Pushkar into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Abel Khan!
Abel Khan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
