The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Miguel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.
Miguel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Johnson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fernando Miguel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miguel.

Miguel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Johnson under the eye.
Johnson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Miguel lands with a nice combination. Johnson backs away looking to recover.

Johnson throws a series of punches but Miguel moves out of range.
Miguel throws a right and a left that both miss.

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Miguel sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Miguel pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.
Miguel scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Johnson manages to mount him!
Miguel is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Johnson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Miguel is rocked!
Miguel wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

A big strike lands for Johnson! That's really hurt Miguel and he's turned his back - Johnson keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Johnson jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
