PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tor Folkesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slicky McGrease (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGrease has chosen I'm a beast as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folkesson throws a wild body kick that McGrease sees coming a mile off.

McGrease is trying to drag Folkesson to the mat but Folkesson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Folkesson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Folkesson apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tor Folkesson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGrease stuffs the takedown attempt from Folkesson. Folkesson gets slowly back to his feet.
McGrease scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

McGrease wants to get back to his feet but Folkesson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
McGrease looking for a sweep. Not yet McGrease, not yet.
Folkesson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Folkesson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McGrease wants to stand up but Folkesson is controlling him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

McGrease is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
McGrease looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Folkesson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tor Folkesson will probably get the nod.
