Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renato Otis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinz Skii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heinz Skii has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Renato Otis's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Skii. Those never looked like landing.

Skii takes the fight into the clinch.
Skii lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Otis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Skii after a bit of a struggle.
Skii is trying to push Otis away but Otis has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Skii wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Skii looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Otis wants the takedown. Skii is fighting it off but Otis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Skii's guard against the cage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Skii is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Otis is controlling him.

Skii makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Skii darts in and clinches Otis up against the cage.
Otis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Skii has Otis pressed against the cage, preventing Otis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Skii wants the takedown. Otis is fighting it off but Skii persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Otis's guard against the cage.
Otis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Skii manages to get himself to full guard.

Skii manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Skii rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Otis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Otis throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Skii keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Otis's head.

Otis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skii doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skii manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Skii gets a clinch.
Otis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Skii avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Skii's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Skii is trying to break the clinch but Otis has him pressed against the cage.
Skii has had enough of the clinch but Otis keeps him there for the moment.

Skii wants to take the fight to the mat but Otis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Skii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Skii closes this distance looking for a takedown but Otis circles away.

Otis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Skii sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Otis somewhat.

Skii looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Otis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Skii counters with a three punch combo that has Otis backing up. Otis nods at Skii to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renato Otis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Skii feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Skii is stalling here. Otis is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Skii seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Otis has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Skii is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Otis has latched onto it... Big trouble! Otis pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Skii is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Otis!
