The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redford tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Garcia swivels and escapes.
Garcia looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Redford looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Garcia is fending him off so far but Redford persists. Nope, Garcia circles away and we're back to standing.

Garcia shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Matt Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Redford.

Redford shoots in and bounces Garcia off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Redford has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Redford accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Redford drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Redford as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Garcia screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Redford! Nice submission victory there!
