Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pretzel Vendor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Panos!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Panos wants to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vendor.
Vendor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Panos's waist but Panos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vendor off to one side.
Vendor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Vendor is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Panos is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pretzel Vendor!
Our winner, Pretzel Vendor, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
