The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyka rushes Weidman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Weidman drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Weidman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boyka is just riding it out for now. Weidman eventually gives up the hold.

Boyka makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

and Boyka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Boyka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Weidman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Weidman doesn't manage to clinch there - Boyka circles away.

A punch lands to the side of Weidman 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Boyka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
