PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pipe Juana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Juana sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wagner somewhat.

Juana moves into the clinch.

Wagner pulls guard successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Juana forces his way into half guard.
Still in half guard, Juana seems content to control.
Wagner missing with punches from the bottom.
Wagner manages to get to full guard.
Wagner throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Juana slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Let's hope that Juana has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Pipe Juana was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Wagner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Juana as he avoids it easily.
Juana takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Juana is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Juana is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wagner's shoulder. That is not cool.

It looks like Pipe Juana has been cut.
Juana jumps guard but Wagner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Juana stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wagner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Juana passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Juana is figuring out what he wants to do next.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wagner is looking to get back to is feet but Juana passes into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Wagner tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Juana cranks the arm and Wagner screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wagner, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
