Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Newbomb Turk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenji Okabe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okabe looks to land a right hand but Turk moved out of range.
Okabe shoots in looking for a takedown. Turk tries to sprawl out of it but Okabe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Okabe scores with a jab. Turk acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Turk misses with the combination.
Okabe avoids the head kick by Turk.
Turk connects with a leg kick. Okabe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Turk takes one on the button.
Turk lands with a nice combination. Okabe backs away looking to recover.
Turk looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Okabe lands with an overhand left.
Newbomb Turk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Okabe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Turk's guard.

Okabe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Okabe slips under a jab.

Turk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Okabe was well out of range. Poor timing from Turk.

Okabe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Turk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Okabe.
Okabe moves out of range of the leg kick from Turk.

Turk throws a head kick but Okabe moves out of range.

Okabe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turk is fending him off so far but Okabe persists. Nope, Turk circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turk throws a sloppy head kick and Okabe moves out of range easily.
Turk loads up on a big right hand but Okabe slips the punch.

and Okabe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Turk!

No joy there for Turk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Newbomb Turk is winning the standup battle so far.
Turk misses with an uppercut. Okabe saw that one coming.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Okabe, as that shot connected.
Turk throws a hook but Okabe blocks it.
Turk looks to land a right hand but Okabe moved out of range.
Turk throws a nice inside leg kick.
Turk throws a jab but it's blocked by Okabe.
A nice inside leg kick there by Turk. That's going to slow Okabe down.
Turk lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sloppy strikes from Turk. Those never looked like landing.

and Okabe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Turk!

Okabe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turk keeps working.

Turk tries to roll over but Okabe keeps him under control.
Turk is trying to control but can't.
Okabe wants to free his trapped foot but Turk is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Turk is staying active underneath Okabe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Okabe might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Turk haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
