The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velaskuez tries to clinch but Eubanks moves out of range.
Eubanks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Velaskuez was well out of range. Poor timing from Eubanks.

Velaskuez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Eubanks did well to prevent Velaskuez getting side control.

Eubanks fails with a takedown attempt.
Eubanks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Velaskuez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Eubanks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Eubanks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Velaskuez moves away.
Eubanks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Velaskuez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Eubanks's guard.

Eubanks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Velaskuez's guard.

It looks like Floyd Eubanks has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You get the feeling that Eubanks really doesn't like being in this position too much.
