A fine choice. Marco Gomez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindien misses with a double jab.
Lindien is looking to clinch.
Lindien tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gomez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Marco Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lindien sprawls well. Lindien wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomez gets slowly back to his feet.
Lindien scores with the left hand. Gomez knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Marco Gomez has been cut.
Gomez has a takedown stuffed.

Gomez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lindien on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lindien tries to get out of the position.

Gomez tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Gomez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gomez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gomez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lindien has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lindien manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lindien content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Gomez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lindien pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gomez manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Gomez is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lindien has his hands clasped together but Gomez extends and breaks Lindien's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gomez.
