Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Spoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by The Mars Volta - . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hong Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, James Spoon!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spoon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Spoon misses with a head kick.
Some wild striking there from Spoon.
Li tries to bum rush Spoon with a series of wild strikes but Spoon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Spoon shoots in looking for a takedown but Li manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spoon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Spoon tries to clinch up but Li circles away and keeps his distance.

Li moves into the clinch successfully.
Spoon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Li has him pressed against the cage.

Li manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Spoon with that takedown attempt.
Hong Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Spoon.
Li defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Spoon.
Spoon misses with a takedown attempt - Li sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Li clinches with his opponent.
A frustrated look appears on Spoon's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Li has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Spoon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Spoon is in a bad position with Li working for a choke. Spoon manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Li keeping moving, preventing Spoon from controlling successfully.
Spoon passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Spoon wants to control but Li is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spoon wants to stand but Li has his arm trapped.
Spoon trying to control the action but Li is working from the bottom.
Li stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Li sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Li really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Spoon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Spoon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Li does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Spoon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Li haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Li is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. James Spoon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A cross from Li lands.

It looks like James Spoon has been cut.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Li lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spoon tries to clinch there but Li circles away.
Hong Li is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Li lands a big head kick that sends Spoon tumbling to the mat! Li takes a step backwards and waves Spoon back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Spoon is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spoon glances at the clock... BAM! Li nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Spoon crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Spoon is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hong Li!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Hong Li waved his t-shirt featuring xXx - Voodoo Labs - MONEY LAUNDER's logo in front of the cameras.
