The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romulus dives in and grabs King's left leg, looking for a takedown. King pushes down on Romulus's head and hops out.
Romulus looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

King clinches with his opponent.

King manages to break the clinch.
King rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romulus moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
King misses with a series of wild punches.
No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

King moves into the clinch successfully.

King darts in and clinches Romulus up against the cage.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
King lunges at Romulus with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Romulus's hand.

King drops Romulus with a left right combo! King follows him down to the ground into side control.

Romulus is rocked!

It looks like Julius Romulus has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King decides to stand back up. King steps back and let's Romulus get back to his feet.
Romulus is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him?
King cracks Romulus's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Romulus slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before King can do further damage! This one is done, son!
