Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Proudstar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hull!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proudstar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hull has time to react.
Some bone on bone action there as Hull checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hull fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Proudstar.
Hull fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hull connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Proudstar fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hull checks it well.
Proudstar missing with a left hand there. Hull was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Proudstar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hull looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Proudstar throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Proudstar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Proudstar sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hull is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Proudstar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hull has escaped the position, nice work there.
Proudstar tries to move to mount but Hull blocks the move with his legs.
Hull takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Hull struggling a bit here.
Proudstar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hull gets back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hull manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Proudstar trying to control the position from guard on top but Hull is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hull tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Proudstar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Proudstar tries to free his leg and advance position but Hull is retaining full guard.
Hull trying to keep a closed guard but Proudstar is proving a slippery customer.

Proudstar looking to sit in guard and control but Hull gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hull tries to stand but Proudstar is controlling from the bottom.

Hull decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hull moves out of range of the body kick from Proudstar.
Proudstar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Proudstar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hull circles away quickly and effectively.
Hull steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Proudstar.
Proudstar connects with a right hand. Hull shakes it off.
Hull uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Proudstar.

Hull takes the fight into the clinch.
Proudstar lands with a short shot to the head.
Proudstar blocks the elbow strike.
Proudstar tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Proudstar swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Proudstar managing to block the knees to the body from Hull.
Proudstar working aggressively here.
Proudstar softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hull prevents a body shot from Proudstar.

Proudstar tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hull tries to land knees in the clinch but Proudstar avoids the damage to the body.
Proudstar throws a punch but it's blocked by Hull.
Hull blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Proudstar tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head punch on the inside from Proudstar fails to land.

Proudstar successfully pulls guard.

Hull is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Proudstar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hull is looking to defend but Proudstar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hull! Proudstar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hull taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). James Proudstar!
James Proudstar is the new heavyweight champion!
Post fight, James Proudstar stared into the camera and said 'This mean me for real.'.
