Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fuego Salsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Zaromskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salsa comes to the cage accompanied by Don't you want me baby. Zaromskis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Moment of Peace. Martin Zaromskis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fuego Salsa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Zaromskis!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaromskis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Salsa shoots in but Zaromskis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Zaromskis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Salsa has time to react.
Zaromskis throws a wild body kick that Salsa sees coming a mile off.

Salsa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zaromskis did well to prevent Salsa getting side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Salsa is looking to take a break and control but Zaromskis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salsa wants to work for an arm triangle but Zaromskis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zaromskis is pressing down on Salsa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Salsa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Zaromskis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Zaromskis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Salsa defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salsa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zaromskis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Salsa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fuego Salsa.

Salsa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zaromskis keeps working.

Salsa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zaromskis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Zaromskis is trying to control Salsa's posture but Salsa avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Salsa shoots in but Zaromskis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Salsa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zaromskis tries to avoid it but Salsa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zaromskis to the ground. Zaromskis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Salsa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Salsa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zaromskis's waist but Zaromskis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salsa off to one side.

Salsa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zaromskis pinned against the cage. Zaromskis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zaromskis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zaromskis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Zaromskis lands a head kick. Salsa smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Martin Zaromskis seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Martin Zaromskis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Zaromskis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Salsa has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zaromskis finds it's way round the side to connect with Salsa's head.

Salsa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zaromskis.

Zaromskis lands a brutal head kick. Salsa looks out on his feet and Zaromskis throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
