Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Gunnarsson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunnarsson throws a right hand that misses
and Jackson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Gunnarsson is avoiding it.
Gunnarsson misses with an uppercut. Jackson saw that one coming.
Jackson moves forwards but Gunnarsson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The fighters circling - Gunnarsson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Gunnarsson circles away.

Jackson takes the fight into the clinch.
Jackson gets through Gunnarsson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jackson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Jackson lands a body punch in the clinch.
Jackson tries a body shot but Gunnarsson blocks it.

Gunnarsson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jackson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson turns into Gunnarsson and is now in his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gunnarsson keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
Gunnarsson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Gunnarsson keeps moving.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Gunnarsson is keeping the position.
Jackson throws an elbow that misses. Gunnarsson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by Gunnarsson!

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gunnarsson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gunnarsson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jackson is trying to hold Gunnarsson in close to prevent damage but Gunnarsson has managed to pass into half guard.

Gunnarsson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Gunnarsson wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position.
Jackson wants to improve his position but Gunnarsson is controlling well.
Jackson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jackson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gunnarsson has passed into side control.
Gunnarsson cracks Jackson with a big right hand but Jackson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Jackson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Gunnarsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
Gunnarsson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jackson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Jackson tries to buck Gunnarsson off but Gunnarsson is having none of it.
Gunnarsson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jackson looks to move to half guard but instead Gunnarsson has passed into mount! Damn!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that DeSean Jackson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jackson sizes up Gunnarsson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gunnarsson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gunnarsson moves out of range of the strikes.
DeSean Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gunnarsson is leaning against Jackson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Jackson struggles to land a body shot inside as Gunnarsson controls his hands.

Gunnarsson has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gunnarsson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Gunnarsson dives into Jackson's guard.

Jackson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gunnarsson escapes and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The referee warns Jackson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
