Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack The Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axe has chosen For Whom the Bell Tolls as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jack The Ripper is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Axe!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

The Ripper throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The Ripper throws a series of punches but Axe avoids them all with ease.
The Ripper moves out of range as Axe strikes.

The Ripper throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Axe.

and Axe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The Ripper uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Axe.

The Ripper looks to land a combination but Axe avoids it well.

Axe fails to land with a series of punches.
The Ripper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Axe circles away.

Axe bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of The Ripper's head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Axe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed The Ripper momentarily.

The Ripper defending well as Axe loads up on a big left hand.
The Ripper throws a right and a left that both miss.
The Ripper needs to keep his hands up - Axe had a free shot at his head there.

Axe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Ripper moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Axe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but The Ripper circles away quickly and effectively.

Axe bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The Ripper dives in and grabs Axe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Axe pushes down on The Ripper's head and hops out.
Jack The Ripper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Axe scores with a one two! The Ripper had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Blake Axe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Axe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Axe. The Ripper does a little dance to reset his feet.
The Ripper misses with a few strikes there.
The Ripper misses with a hook. Axe ducked under it nicely.

Axe connects with a leg kick. The Ripper looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

enabling Axe to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Axe lands a nice hook to The Ripper's body. The Ripper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blake Axe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Axe feints a jab promting The Ripper to slip. Axe then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. The Ripper slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The Ripper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Axe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The Ripper is looking to take a break and control but Axe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Axe is looking to regain half guard here but The Ripper keeps moving and retains side control.
