The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Roberts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Roberts feints and then cracks Alvarez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alvarez down.
Roberts misses with a series of wild punches.
Roberts takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alvarez throws a head kick but Roberts moves out of range.

Alvarez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Roberts with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alvarez connects with a nice short shot to Roberts's temple.

Alvarez postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Roberts in real trouble here! The ref calls for Roberts to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
