The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden fails to land with a series of punches.
Sharp avoids a punch combination nicely.
A low kick from Sharp misses

and Durden counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sharp's guard now.
Durden wants to pass the guard but Sharp is keeping the position.
Durden throws an elbow that misses. Sharp uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Durden's guard. Nice move by Sharp!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sharp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Durden controls Sharp momentarily but Sharp frees himself.
Sharp wants to pass the guard but Durden is keeping the position.
Sharp trying to control but Durden is working from the bottom.
Durden working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sharp.

Durden keeping moving, preventing Sharp from controlling successfully.
Sharp loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Durden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Durden is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durden manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sharp manages to get himself to full guard.
Sharp keeping moving, preventing Durden from controlling successfully.

Durden is looking to advance position but Sharp has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
BOOM! Sharp connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Durden is bucking up trying to escape but Sharp cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Sharp looking to control but Durden is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Sharp tries to control but Durden wriggling away.
Durden is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Sharp raining down hammerfists from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durden keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sharp scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Sharp lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
