Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cox comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Razormind Remix kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Michael Hansen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hansen is out of range and Cox settles back down.
Cox stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cox wants it to stay on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cox.
Hansen shoots in and drives through. Cox sprawls well.
Hansen scores with a head kick. Cox tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Cox fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hansen sprawls well initially but Cox persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Hansen is defending against the submission attempts here by Cox.

Cox is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hansen defends it well.

Hansen wants to clinch up but Cox keeps it at a distance.

Cox fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hansen avoids it really well and circles away.

Cox wants to control from the top but Hansen keeps moving.
Cox is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cox controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jesse Cox wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cox shoots in and drives through. Hansen sprawls well.

Cox closes the distance and pushes Hansen back into the cage.

Hansen breaks the clinch.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown but Cox shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cox shoots in but no luck this time.

Cox shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hansen's guard.

Hansen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cox wants to stand up but Hansen has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jesse Cox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cox defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hansen.
Hansen tries to close the distance and clinch but Cox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cox tries to land a leg kick but Hansen saw it coming and moves away.
Hansen misses with a takedown attempt - Cox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hansen clinches up with Cox and pushes him back against the cage.

Cox has hold of one of Hansen's legs. Hansen is fighting the takedown attempt but Cox gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Cox wants to control from the top but Hansen keeps moving.

Cox drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cox jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hansen is keeping busy.

Cox sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Hansen taps out!

Jesse Cox was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
