The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Diaz.
Diaz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Marshall.
Marshall looks to land a combination but Diaz avoids it well.
Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marshall manages to avoid it.

Marshall drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.
Marshall stalling in the clinch.
Diaz misses with a punch on the inside.
Marshall tries to break the clinch but Diaz is controlling the position.
Diaz tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A head punch on the inside from Diaz fails to land.
Marshall tries for a takedown. No joy.

Marshall tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Marshall escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Marshall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Diaz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Marshall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Marshall slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Marshall dives in and scores a takedown into Diaz's guard.
Diaz wants to sweep but no luck.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrew Marshall hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Marshall tries to clinch up but Diaz circles away and keeps his distance.

Marshall looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diaz is fending him off so far but Marshall persists. Nope, Diaz circles away and we're back to standing.

Marshall prevents a body shot from Diaz.
Diaz stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Diaz pushes Marshall against the cage. Diaz is working some dirty boxing. Diaz pushes off with a quick right hook! Marshall goes down! Marshall tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Diaz moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
