The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Syatev shoots in and bounces Romanov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Syatev stays in close to Romanov's body and controls the position.
Syatev trying to control the position from guard on top but Romanov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Vasili Syatev wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Romanov lands with a thumping leg kick.
Romanov misses with a hook
and Syatev counters with a big head kick but Romanov shrugs it off.
Romanov lands a really nice looking cross but Syatev seems unphased.
Syatev is breathing heavily.
Romanov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Syatev is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Syatev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Romanov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oh Syatev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Romanov fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Syatev out cold! Brutal finish!
