Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spud Spud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Sinistra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spud comes into the arena with Lobby blaring out of the sound system. Vinnie Sinistra will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinistra fails with the takedown

and Spud counters by clinching up.
Spud is working for takedown but Sinistra is calmly controlling the position for now.
Spud tries for a takedown but Sinistra manages to get underhooks.
Nice body punch from Spud - that landed with a thud.
Spud stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Spud is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sinistra pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spud Spud. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spud will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sinistra up against the cage.

Spud breaks from the clinch.

Spud moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Sinistra fails to land.

Spud lands a hook that snaps the head of Sinistra backwards.
Spud can't get the takedown.
Sinistra wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spud has him pressed against the cage.
Spud changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sinistra fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sinistra looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sinistra wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spud has him pressed against the cage.
Spud scores with a shot to the side of Sinistra's head.
Sinistra blocks an elbow strike.

Spud gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Spud has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sinistra is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Spud frees his head nicely. Oh but Sinistra has switched to an armbar! Spud is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
