The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veb misses with a two punch combination.
Veb shoots in and drives through. Boyette sprawls well.

Boyette drives through with a takedown into guard.

Boyette drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boyette jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Boyette cracks Veb with a big right hand but Veb just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Veb tries to bench press Boyette off him but Boyette keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Veb takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Boyette scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Veb to see if he's OK.

Veb tries to bench press Boyette off him but Boyette keeps the position.

Veb is still in real trouble! Can Boyette finish him?

Boyette scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Veb is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Boyette can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
