Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Junior Ualesi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Turner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner misses with a wild body shot.
A jab lands there for Ualesi.
Ualesi throws a body punch but Turner moves out of range.
Turner is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ualesi.
Ualesi lands a nice hook to Turner's body. Turner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Turner misses with a head kick.
Ualesi throws the left hand but Turner avoids the punch easily.
Ualesi throws a hook to the side of Turner's head but Turner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Turner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ualesi moves away.
Jab, jab by Ualesi - just one landing.
Ualesi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turner doesn't seem bothered though.
Ualesi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ualesi wants to clinch

and Turner counters with a takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Turner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ualesi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lull in the action here as Turner stalls from top position.
Turner in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ualesi is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Turner has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Ualesi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ualesi tries to get out of the position.
Turner looks up at the clock and then as Ualesi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Turner smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Turner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Turner lands a nice forearm strike.

Turner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Turner looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Turner trying to control the action but Ualesi is working from the bottom.
Ualesi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Turner is controlling him well.
Ualesi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Turner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ualesi some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner trying to control the action but Ualesi is working from the bottom.
Ualesi trying to remain calm as Turner controls from the top position.

Turner looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Turner trying to control the position but Ualesi is working away.

Turner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Turner advances to full mount.
Turner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ualesi hang on?

Turner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ualesi manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ualesi tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Turner working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Ualesi is trying to stand.
The referee warns Ualesi that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ualesi wants to try and get back to his feet.
Ualesi is bucking up trying to escape but Turner cracks him with another couple of good strikes.


Ualesi is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turner loads up with a big shot that hurts Ualesi! He's pulled Turner in close but Turner has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Ualesi survive? More strikes from Turner and Ualesi is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Steve Turner!
Steve Turner bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
