The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombada lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as The Greek backs up against the cage.

No joy there for Bombada, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Bombada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Bombada throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bombada bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Bombada goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The Greek tries to bum rush Bombada with a series of wild strikes but Bombada uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bombada fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. The Greek looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Bombada rattles The Greek with a well-timed uppercut counter. - The Greek tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Bombada dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving The Greek stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Champ Bombada!
Champ Bombada decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
