The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Gates there.
Gates scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mamba in his tracks.
Mamba throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gates wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Mamba closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gates's guard.
Mamba wants to control from the top but Gates keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamba is sitting in close to Gates's body. Gates has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mamba is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mamba is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gates.

A less than humble Zach Gates misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
